For starters The Adelphi is not a nightclub: the bar closes at 11 most nights. The Adelphi is Hull’s famous international back-street music venue. The number of massive names that have played here are endless and include names such as Radiohead, Green Day, The Stone Roses and Oasis along with all manner of specialist acts from around the world. In fact it is probably in the diversity of its programming policy for which we are best known. For 22 years now it has stood independently and defiantly, at the heart of Hulls Cultural industries, and has consistently provided challenging alternatives to the mainstream.
